Sitaare Zameen Par: Not a sequel
Aamir Khan is back with his latest outing. Co-starring Genelia Deshmukh and a bunch of wonderful people, the film has its heart in the right place at most occasions. If you go with the sky high expectations of Taare Zameen Par, it is better you do not, because this is an entirely different ball game.
Aamir plays the role of a Basketball coach named Gulshan. He has his issues with her partner, Genelia Deshmukh, and the film takes on it in the most soothing manner as it is aligned with the main plot, that is of the trainees.
Aamir Khan is given the duty to coach around 10 people who are differently abled. With not so keen interest in doing so, the film threads the path of how Gulshan changes himself staying amidst them. It showcases the change in his attitude towards his partner.
The film has so much more to it than what’s written here. Not to divulge anymore details, one should definitely give this film a chance at the cinemas.
Why?
You’d be teary eyed at a few places, you’d see mild smiles on your faces at a few places, you’d be intrigued to see how the team pans out their plan to win the tournament.
Do they win it? You got to watch that on the big screens!
Music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is good. The background score by Ram Sampath is good at most places. Editing is adequate while camera work is fine.
The film cannot be termed as the best for Aamir’a filmography but, it surely can be placed as one of the good films coming from his studio.
